El Cafezito is a private cannabis club a 10-minute walk from Camp Nou. If you are in Barcelona for a match or a stadium tour and want somewhere legal and comfortable to relax afterwards, this is about as close as it gets — but you will need an invitation before you turn up.
How far is the club from Camp Nou?
Roughly ten minutes on foot. The club sits between the stadium and Zona Universitària, on the Les Corts side, so you can walk it comfortably after a game without needing a taxi or the metro.
If you would rather use public transport, Zona Universitària metro station is a four-minute walk from our door, so you can arrive from anywhere in the city and finish the trip on foot.
Going before or after the match
The streets around Camp Nou get busy, and they empty out all at once when a game finishes. A few things worth planning around:
- Come before kick-off if your schedule allows. The walk is calmer and you are not moving against eighty thousand people heading for the metro.
- Sort your invitation in advance. Membership is not something you can complete at the door in five minutes.
- Leave with nothing on you. Consumption is only permitted inside the club. Carrying cannabis on the street can get you fined.
You need an invitation first
Cannabis clubs in Spain are private non-profit associations, not shops. Nobody can simply walk in off the street. To visit El Cafezito you have to be invited and registered as a member first.
The process is short:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Fill in the invitation form with your name and the date you plan to come.
- The invitation arrives by email.
- Show the invitation and your ID at reception.

- A valid passport or ID card. This is checked every visit, not only the first one.

- Cash. Spanish cannabis associations do not accept card payments.
The rules, plainly
Cannabis is not legalised in Spain. It is tolerated inside private members’ clubs and inside private homes, and nowhere else. Consumption is only allowed within the club, and taking anything out with you is strictly prohibited and entirely at your own risk. Fines for possession in public are real and they are enforced in Barcelona.

Can I join on the day of a match?
It is possible, but we do not recommend it. Send the invitation form in advance so your membership is ready when you arrive and you are not standing at reception during the post-match rush.
Is the club open to visitors from abroad?
Yes. Our members come from all over the world. You need to be 18 or over and carry valid identification.
How much is membership?
El Cafezito runs as a non-profit association with an annual membership. Message us on WhatsApp for the current fee before your visit.
Is this the same as an Amsterdam coffeeshop?
No. Spanish clubs are members-only private associations. They are closed to the general public and they do not sell to non-members — the model is different, and so is the law behind it.
